How To Wash a Microbead Pillow

Microbead pillows have become a popular choice for many people in recent years. They are soft, comfortable, and provide good support for the head and neck. However, they can be difficult to clean properly. In this blog post, we will discuss how to wash a microbead pillow so that it stays fresh and clean for years to come!

1. Prepare Your Pillow

Gather your microbead pillows that need to be washed. Travel Fanatics mesh bags do the trick. Since their larger than other shoe mesh bags you may find, they protect and wash almost any microbead pillow. Place any microbead pillow (excluding our large rectangle microbead pillow) inside the laundry bag. Once inside, zip and lock closed. The mesh bag allows the water to flow through into your pillow easily but also protects it from hitting the side of the machine. If you do not have a Travel Fanatics mesh bag then using a pillow case that zips closed will also help protect your pillow. It will not be as thick but will still offer better protection than no bag at all.

2. Wash Alone

We recommend washing your pillow alone. It's not recommended to put in with other clothing items as it will push vigorously against your pillow and possibly break it inside of the washing machine.

3. Wash on Delicate with Cold Water

The point is to clean the pillow without damaging it so you will want to wash your pillow alone and have it set on a delicate setting in cold water.

4. Air Dry Only

Air dry your pillow will guarantee a damage-free dry. If using the Travel Fanatics mesh bag, simply leave the pillow inside the mesh bag and use the handle on the top to hang for air drying. If you do not have the mesh bag then simply lay it out in an airy space to let it fully dry.

5. Bonus

Travel Fanatics mesh laundry bag also works as a perfect solution to keeping your pillow nice and clean inside your suitcase while traveling.
